Katie & Coby – November 24, 2024
Katie & Coby’s intimate fall wedding in Durham, NC, was a heartfelt celebration filled with color, emotion, and deep family connections. Hosted at a private residence, their wedding was a true reflection of who they are—personal, meaningful, and full of love.
Their close-knit celebration was unlike anything I've ever experienced. It felt as though time itself stood still to honor their love. Each moment was filled with intention, every detail a reflection of who they are and the people who love them. This intimate wedding day was deeply personal and family-centered, the kind of celebration that leaves an imprint on your heart; a true testament to love, connection, and togetherness.
Originally, Katie & Coby had planned a much larger destination wedding in Mexico for next year, but when Katie’s mom’s health became a priority, they made the heartfelt decision to move their wedding up and have an intimate ceremony in Durham, NC. Family and friends traveled from California, Israel, and across North Carolina to witness and celebrate their love...literally a worldwide effort from all of the people involved.
Hosted at Katie’s aunt and uncle’s home, their wedding was filled with warmth, emotion, and deep family connections. They exchanged vows by the neighborhood lake, creating a scene that was breathtaking in its simplicity and meaning. It may not have been their original plan, but it was absolutely perfect.
As a Durham, NC wedding photographer, I was honored to capture these once-in-a-lifetime moments. I arrived as a stranger and left feeling like family, laughing, crying, and celebrating right alongside them. Seeing everyone come together to make this day happen was nothing short of extraordinary.
This was one of the most meaningful weddings I have ever photographed. A reminder that love, at its core, is about the people who stand beside you. I’m beyond grateful to have been part of this day and to deliver these priceless memories for them to cherish forever.
